Today was one of those days...

That I was REALLY loving my job.

One of my favorite two year olds came up to me and gave me an epically rewarding hug.

My class celebrated the 7th birthday of one of my favorite boys. (He asked to be my Valentine on Valentine's day. So sweet)

My kids were for the most part very well behaved and I was blessed with several hundred hugs throughout the day.

I go to the infant room every day at 5:30 pm to help them close up shop. I always love this part of my day, because sleepy babies LOVE to snuggle. I had just finished giving one of my chunky monkeys her bottle, and she was laughing at the faces I was making at her. I was reveling in my day and just how blessed it had been and all of a sudden... I felt something wet on my leg. Baby girl was peeing on me. HAHAHA. All I could do was laugh at being brought down to earth so quickly, and proceeded to change her obviously very loose diaper.

I've been laughing about this episode since then, and am still reveling in how great my day was. I love my job and I absolutely adore each and every one of the children I interact with on a daily basis. Even the ones that pee on my newly washed jeans.

It amazes me that I consider a day that I got peed on to be a great day. I think this is one of the ways that I know I TRULY love what I do. I still can't believe I get paid for this.

I can't wait to be in Africa. It will be so hard not to come home with one...

Bless,
AK
